Attorney Zhonghua Lai is a criminal defense attorney who is a licensed member of the Texas State Bar and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Zhonghua Lai used to work at the Texas Attorney General’s Office, where she gained extensive experience in criminal law. She firmly believes that her clients are more than just numbers in a case file; they are people who should not have their lives and careers destroyed because of a criminal charge. Zhonghua is passionate about helping her clients leave their past behind.

Attorney Lai earned her LLM Degree from Texas University School of Law. Prior to starting her own law practice, Attorney Lai practiced at a famous local law firm, where she developed her legal skill. Before that, Attorney Lai practiced with Mayer Brown Beijing Office, a top 10 international law firm that handles a substantial number of international financing and cross-border investments. Attorney Lai worked for 7 years in China, where she specialized in setting up foreign invested enterprises, and negotiating franchising and licensing agreements.

Attorney Lai has practiced in a wide range of criminal law matters and trust. She is fluent in Mandarin, and English.
